Amit Khanna embodies the spirit of innovation as SPIN VFX’s new Head of CG. Throughout his career, Amit has contributed to an impressive slate of projects, including the Oscar-nominated Spider-Man: No Way Home.
With over 20 years of experience working at the intersection of art and technology, Amit’s credits include the Emmy-nominated series Wednesday and Vikings, which also earned a VES nomination, along with major film and television projects, such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Daredevil: Born Again, Murderbot, Reacher, Ms. Marvel, Shazam, and Resident Evil. He also earned a VES Award nomination for Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, which led to an invitation to present at SIGGRAPH, one of the world’s most respected CG conferences.
Earlier in his career, Amit spent six years building and running his own animation and technology studio, delivering 2D and 3D animation as well as online and offline technology solutions for global brands.
He also led multidisciplinary CG teams as Head of 3D at Folks Toronto, while strengthening pipelines and production workflows across studios globally, including Montreal, Toronto, Spain, and Los Angeles.
Amit’s depth of knowledge and experience across CG and pipeline, paired with his ability to champion artist-driven tools, foster inventive problem-solving, and guide large-scale productions, make him a strong addition to SPINVFX’s leadership team.
