OUR HISTORY
With over 30 years in business, SPINVFX is a creative and technically dedicated Visual Effects studio producing captivating imagery for feature films and television. Our roots trace back to creative and technological innovations that are now standard in Visual Effects facilities around the globe.
SPINVFX has evolved into an internationally recognized visual effects studio, working with respected Directors, VFX Supervisors, and Producers. With television credits that include the acclaimed Stranger Things series (Netflix), the Emmy award-winning series Game of Thrones (HBO), four-time Emmy-nominated, fan-favourite series The Umbrella Academy (Netflix), Foundation (Apple TV+), Raised by Wolves (HBO), as well as film credits including the Academy Award-winning biopic Spotlight (First Look), Escape Room 2: Tournament of Champions (Columbia Pictures), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania (Marvel), Big George Foreman (Sony Pictures), Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie (Nickelodeon and Netflix), and The Boys (Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures), SPINVFX delivers on the vision.
With a team of close to 350 industry-leading artists from around the world, SPINVFX has amassed a sought-after crew of some of the most talented creatives in visual effects today. SPINVFX has two sister companies JAXX, an advertising post-production studio, and BRIO, a cloud & licensed subscription-based AR, VR & 3D platform, sold to Adobe in 2022.
SPINVFX is located in Toronto and Atlanta, with sales support in Los Angeles.

We switched to a completely remote workflow in 2020 to keep our team safe. We supported each other to continue delivering world-class work throughout the year. We also introduced ROTATE, our mobile virtual Production solution in 2021
THE YEAR OF GROWTH
We began our year with the opening of our new office space in Atlanta. With new talent joining us on our amazing projects, a workspace in the US was a step in the right direction.
THE LAUNCH OF BRIO
Brio is our cloud-based AR, VR & 3D presentation platform that enables content creators to quickly produce photorealistic, interactive, multimedia experiences for their audiences without coding or programming

OUR FIRST FEW FEATURE FILMS
Legion, Survival of the Dead, Diary of the Dead, Max Payne, Outlander. We branched out into TV with our first show, The Borgais, in 2009.
IN THE BEGINNING
We began our journey, creating stunning VFX and animations in the advertising industry. We worked on our first feature film Bait staring Jamie Foxx in the year 1999.
