‘Smart masks’ can be set up procedurally using

‘Smart masks’ can be set up procedurally using the “user” channels in Substance Painter. To set it up, create a common base shader with the USER channel set to ‘black’, and then enable the same channel on a different layer set to ‘white’ under a ‘smart mask’. This way the ISO maps will always stay updated as the tweaks will be done in the smart masks. Follow the preset setup in the third image for exports.
