Neishaw Ali speaks about How Creative Industries Use AI practically at the 2024 Collision Conference
From June 17 to June 20, 2024, Toronto hosted the “Collision Conference”, North America’s fastest-growing technology conference, with over 40,000 attendees annually. The acclaimed conference welcomed innovators, technology professionals, companies and visitors from around the world to network and discuss the future of the global technology industries.
With over 800 speakers, 1,400 media, 1,000 investors, 2,000 exhibiting startups, 340 impact startups and 300 partners from over 140 countries, the top themes this year included: Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Venture Capital market in 2025 and how to use technology to strengthen democracy.
As a part of this Conference, the City of Toronto’s Creative Technology Office, The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University, and the City of Toronto’s Film Office put together a “Future Makers Programming Panel” on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
Our CEO and Executive Producer, Neishaw Ali, expressed her thoughts on “How Creative Industries Use AI Practically to Enhance Their Work” while sharing the stage with several leaders of Toronto’s Film, Television, Video Game, and Immersive Marketing industry, who also shared their experiments, successes, and missteps working with AI, all while encouraging the emerging talent in Toronto to explore and innovate with AI technologies to drive future advancements in creative industries.
The creative industries are often at the leading edge of emerging technologies as artists, developers, and designers adapt and find ways to use these new tools. AI has quickly integrated into the creative process of a variety of entertainment sectors, providing increased efficiency, enhanced creativity and new opportunities for innovation!
