QC SUPERVISOR

As the QC Supervisor, you will ensure all asset procedures are documented and uploaded to our repository, delegate documentation specific processes to artists and create timelines for documentation in collaboration with CG Producer
You will spend your days:
- ensuring assets are QC’d in layout & modeling, in accordance with the established pipeline, before going to lighting
- collaborating with the Layout Supervisor, record final approvals of assets in Shotgun before being passed on to lighting
- working with artists, leads and/or Head of CG when necessary to solve technical asset problems as expeditiously as possible
- working with Layout Supervisor to proactively suggest, implement and enforce established best standards to be used by artists
- training and mentoring CG Generalists to support the Layout department when required
- supporting the Asset department with model and rigging tasks when required
- ensuring assets are moving smoothly into lighting
- learning the camera tracking software in order to support the tracking artists during times of potential bottlenecks
- being a positive role model for the asset department through strong work ethic, leadership and accountability
You must have:
- a minimum of 5+ years VFX experience working on feature films and/or television series
- effective leadership skills
- senior level experience using Maya
