Extraordinary Talent Joins SPIN VFX

Spin VFX is proud to announce three additions to our senior team.  Mayur Patel CG Supervisor, Tim Alexander Asset Supervisor and Wojciech Zielinski Visual Effects Supervisor.

MAYUR PATEL, BSEE (Cornell), MSCS (UCLA) / CG Supervisor: Mayur has worked in the industry as an Artist, Supervisor and Technologist for 15 years.  His filmography includes over eighteen major motion pictures, notably Tarzan, Disney, Sleepy Hollow, Paramount, AI, Warner Bros., Hulk Universal, and Master and Commander, 20th Century Fox.  At ILM, Mayur was a charter member of the production problem-solving unit known as the R&D Technical Directors.  As Visual Effects Department Supervisor at Animal Logic, Mayur worked with George Miller on his Academy Award winning animated feature Happy Feet, Warner Bros.,.  He shares his knowledge and experience in his published book, The Digital Visual Effects Studio: The Artists and Their Work Revealed 2009. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0665382/

TIM ALEXANDER / Asset Supervisor: Tim began his career in 1994 in the gaming industry helping Tom Clancy in his startup of EA located in the Bay area.  In 2006, Tim moved to  visual effects for feature film, eventually leading to three years at Digital Domain working directly for Erik Nash (two time Emmy winner and two-time Oscar nominated) in Los Angeles, where he further developed his talents becoming one of their top Asset artist. WOJCIECH ZIELINSKI / Visual Effects Supervisor:  Wojciech began his career 13 years ago as a digital artist by melding the art of computer animation, film and architecture  He rejoins SPIN VFX after a decade as visual effects supervisor.  His last project working with the David Cronenberg directed film Cosmopolis Entertainment One, served only to enhance his skills as he not only supervised 385 shots but also directed the VFX unit for driving plates and green screen elements. His experience includes positions such as: CG supervisor, modeling supervisor and compositor. Other credits include: Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, Sony Pictures, The Vow Screen Gems, A Dangerous Method, Sony Pictures, Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D, Screen Gems, Amelia, Fox Searchlight and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Sony Pictures.  He is currently on location for SPIN VFX in Hungary supervising the third season of the twice Emmy nominated series The Borgias, Showtime/CTV.  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1976157/.
